Hello, I'm the proud owner of Calypso's Pet Salon, and I'd love to share a bit about my background and passion for pets with you. I've been a pet stylist for 14 years, starting my career in corporate salons, where I quickly made my way up to management. After about four years, I left in order to pursue veterinarian grooming and working with special needs pets with medical and behavioral issues. In 2015, I purchased the grooming part of the Animal Hospital and opened our doors as Calypso's Pet Salon on April 13th, 2015. I named the salon after my first rescued hound mix because, without her, I would have never gone down this path. In 2018, we won our first Best of Rhode Island award, and in 2019, we won the top-rated local salon after choosing to leave veterinarian grooming and relocate the salon earlier that year.
